  • Tracey RogersThe Trayvon Martin case, civil unrest in Egypt, bankrupt economies and themes of women’s empowerment are just a few examples of the restlessness sweeping our nation and the world stage. The activities shaping such turbulent times are at best transformational, and at worst, violent and on edge. Nevertheless, these events have proven necessary to inspire protests for basic human rights, and the astrology behind the outcry for change and the end to an old world order comes courtesy of the planets Uranus and Pluto.

These two planets are at odds with one another. Not only are they currently 90 degrees a part in the sky forming a very hard right angle, but the symbolism of both in many ways cancel each other out; Pluto wants a rebirth of structure and authoritarianism while Uranus wants unrestricted liberties. The effects of this quarrel are of an extreme ‘this or that’ quality, and not only is this energy shifting the paradigm on a global scale, it’s also affecting us in our personal lives.

Each of us is dealing with at least one internal struggle that puts an insatiable need for freedom up against ingrained habits and routines that allow for life to remain the same. The only way to ensure a conciliatory outcome, then, is by making certain adjustments; some folks have been able to bend where necessary, while others are having a tough go at it. But no matter your efforts, the most important lessons to be learned come through simple awareness.

I find it interesting that today’s headlines go beyond what is fathomable creating an atmosphere of disbelief, while the inner stirrings to challenge all that is unfair and unjust act as subtle influences. But the subtlety is becoming more and more blatant in case you haven’t noticed, and it represents a Universal call to stand up and make a difference, starting with me and you.

Something has got to give under the current cosmic climate, and whether this plays out externally or in private, something will inevitably be torn down and replaced by a new and open platform for change. The potent energy above is here to stay for the time being. Check your horoscopes below to see what’s in store for your Zodiac sign, and be sure to read for your Ascendant sign as well.

On the day you were born, all of the planets were positioned in the signs of the Zodiac – not just the Sun. To find out more about your full astrological make up, email Tracey for a personal Astrology reading at tracey@randomnessofrudy.com.

Aries: Your life has undergone many changes recently, and what’s unfolded has been rather unexpected, often catching you completely off guard. As a result, you’ve chosen to rebel against whatever restricts you from living life on your own terms, and any push back you’ve experienced has come in the form of authority figures who influence your career and vocation. You may be tempted, then, to throw the baby out with the bath water. But you’d be wise to exercise restraint. What do the stars have to say about your love life? Taurus: Many Tauruses grow up thinking in terms of black or white because they live a life of two extremes: you’re either a peaceful and complacent bull, or a mean and brash bull. Thankfully, in recent years, you’ve come to realize that the world is full of gray, and in every aspect of life. Thus, a tearing down of certain long held beliefs has begun, and your way of living and being has been challenged as a result. I advise you to let this process unfold without any tampering on your part. What do the stars have to say about your love life? Gemini: ‘With whom do you belong’ and ‘just where do you fit in’ have been important questions in your life, responsible for frequent changes in allegiance. The truth is you enjoy being able to float from group to group; the more friends and networks you have, the more opportunities there are for mental engagement. Just be sure that certain shifts on the social scene don’t block you from true intimacy and connection. Merging on all levels is more rewarding than superficial attachments. Cancer: Changes continue to unfold on the career front, and I know a lot of Cancers who continue to turn a blind eye to all that’s developing. Just as I’ve advised them to acknowledge the pink elephant in the room, I’m going to advise you to do the same. Clearly you want more freedom to do work that brings meaning. Furthermore, significant others are offering full support. It seems, then, the only person getting in the way of self fulfillment is you. So what are you going to do about it?
