MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) — Detectives are reviewing statements filed against Charles Pugh by a mother and her 18-year-old son who was in a high school mentoring program led by the Detroit City Council president.
Attorney Deanno Ware told The Associated Press on Monday that the statements concern “incidents that occurred between Mr. Pugh and the young man.”
The Associated Press has left repeated phone and email messages seeking Pugh’s comment.
Ware says his clients filed statements Saturday with police in Madison Heights, north of Detroit. He wouldn’t say what they entail.
The Detroit schools already are investigating the woman’s complaint that Pugh had improper contact with her son, a recent high school graduate.
Pugh has been stripped of his pay and duties as council president after failing to show in recent weeks for work.
