Ari Mandel, a former Orthodox Jew, auctioned off his spot in heaven on eBay before the website shut down the sale.
Mandel began the bidding at 99 cents, amazingly it shot up to $100,000 before the bidding was pulled.
The 31-year-old man cited that he had lived a full life of “mitzvos” or good deeds, never worshiped false gods and that he was almost 100% vegan.
eBay pulled the post hours after it landed on the site after receiving many complaints about the post. The site also explained that you can’t sell intangible items.
Mandel says that the post was all a “prank” and he didn’t expect it to garner so much attention.
