A Massachusetts man is stuck with a citation and injury after he ran over himself in his truck.

Police officials received several calls reporting an accident and later found Brian Reynolds face down in the road Monday afternoon.

The 41-year old told police that he was driving his 1987 Chevy down a hill when the brakes went out.

He explained that he tried to stop the vehicle by sticking his leg out of the door. When that didn’t work, Reynolds said he tried to drive his truck off of the road into an embankment. But instead, he fell out and rolled over his leg later hitting a fire hydrant.

Despite his injury, police cited Reynolds with a $35 ticket for operating faulty machinery.
