A New York panini shop is combing two culinary favorites into one: sandwiches and alcohol.

Salumè gives their customers the opportunity to douse their sandwiches with their spirit of choice.

Unlike other dishes that incorporate alcohol into the recipe, the sandwiches do not undergo a heating process to cook the alcohol off. The sandwich is literally smothered in the liquor.

Panini options include Surryano ham and rye, another with prosciutto, and one made of beets and scotch. They also offer a crudo prosciutto with gin.

It is unclear if patrons will be ID’d for such a menu choice, but Salumè is breaking records with their creative dish.
