The latest reaction to Will Smith's viral slap at the Oscars comes by way of Jim Carrey, who not only detested the act of violence against Chris Rock but also found issues with Hollywood for applauding Smith as he went on to accept the top honor of "Best Actor."

Although it appears that Chris Rock won't be pressing charges for the now-infamous slap seen everywhere, Will Smith still took time to publicly apologize for stepping out of character at the Oscars last night to defend a joke aimed at his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

“Art imitates life,” Smith said accepting the award. “I look like the crazy father, just like they said about Richard Williams.”
