Following A Near 2-Year Ban, Trump Returns To X For Live Interview
American citizens looking for a straightforward conversation with Donald Trump will perhaps get that tonight. All you’ve got to do is pull out your phone and have an X (formerly Twitter) account.
Former president Donald Trump will return to the platform that banned him for nearly two years for a live interview with X CEO Elon Musk. The unprecedented social media conversation will be yet another twist in the 2024 presidential race that not many people could’ve predicted.
According to the post from Musk, the “live conversation” will take place Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

In a subsequent X post Musk declared the conversation to be “unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining!”.
Trump will have the opportunity to reach millions of voters with the high profile conversation. X will also look to capitalize on this moment, following months of lost engagement since tech wizard Elon Musk took over.
Musk, a former Democrat, recently endorsed Trump for president following the assassination attempt on July 13 in Indiana.
Donald Trump’s Twitter account was banned following the now infamous January 6 riots at the US Capitol. “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence,” Twitter said.
Donald Trump is scheduled to debate Vice President Kamala Harris on ABC on September 10.
