Kanan is impressed and feels like Tariq is like the son he never had. But, Tariq has other plans in mind for Kanan after his mother gets in his ear and reminds him of how grimey Kanan really is. Kanan killed Sean who was Tariq’s friend so he’s all the way on board to set Kanan up.
Tariq plants the gun that he used to kill Raymond Jones in the trunk of Kanan’s car. Meanwhile, Tasha is home calling the police and reporting that Tariq has been kidnapped by Kanan. The police roll up on Kanan and Tariq as they’re driving and pull him over. They search the car and find the gun in the trunk. Then they ask Tariq if he’s being held against his will. When he responds “yes”, that’s when all hell breaks loose.
The police try to put Kanan in handcuffs but he’s not going back to prison. He grabs one officer’s gun and starts shooting at every other officer on the scene. He kills all of them, but not without taking a couple of fatal shots himself. Though Kanan has a clear shot on Tariq who’s locked in the back seat of one of the squad cars, he doesn’t take it. (Applause for the bad guy!)
Instead, he walks by Tariq who’s sitting in the car like a shook one, and gets in one of the police vehicles to drive away. He doesn’t get far. The scene ends with Kanan coughing up blood as he’s slumped over the steering wheel.

So, let’s talk about those who are still walking around this big rich town.
DRE! Dre is still being a mini, yet more successful, Ghost, in these streets. Even Tommy sees how Dre and Cristobal (Matt Cedeno) look like the new dynamic duo version of him and Ghost. Now that Diego is out of the way, Dre has plans to become Alicia’s (Ana de la Reguera) number one guy. But, Ghost still has it out for Dre. He may have not been able to frame Dre for the murder of Raymond Jones but he and Tommy still decide to set him up for Diego’s murder.
Kanan kills Diego (Maurice Compte) in the last episode and kept a keepsake of his head that Ghost and Tommy put in the freezer of the night club that Dre manages. This won’t end well for Dre or Cristobal since Dre took the liberty of introducing Cristobal as Diego. You can’t be alive and dead at the same damn time.
Mak (Sung Kang) and Saxe (Shane Johnson) still have Proctor (Jerry Ferrara) by the balls and need him to bring Ghost down. Saxe helps Proctor get his license back but Proctor feels like it won’t last long if he doesn’t find out something on Ghost. He feels like he can’t keep being loyal to people who are not loyal to him. So, he tells them that Angela is the one who’s been helping out Ghost and his crew this whole time.
In other family business, Tommy has Keisha cook a family dinner with Teresi (William Sadler) and Connie(Mercedes Ruehl). But it probably won’t be long before Tommy finds out about Teresi’s deal with the U.S. Attorneys.
