If you’re wondering about the music your millennial kids like, it turns out that it might be inspired by the same music you like. R&B has made a huge comeback in the last 2 years propelled by the likes of SZA, H.E.R., Jazmine Sullivan, Ro James, Daniel Cesar, and more.

One of the hottest duos in the genre is the Toronto based DVSN, two brothers signed by Drake’s OVO Sound. They recently appeared on an In-Studio Jam right here with the Tom Joyner Morning Show.

They’re the lovemaking music that millennial groove to with songs like “Mood” and “In Too Deep.” Daniel Daley handles the vocals as the frontman and his brother Nineteen85 handles production. They’re currently on tour in Europe after a sold-out U.S. run.

For BBC Radio, the duo created a mashup of Aaliyah’s “One In A Million” with Prince’s classic “Purple Rain” and although it wasn’t a pairing we saw coming, it works. Check it out and tell us what you think!
