DVSN: ‘Every Track Is About Real Life Situations’
Rapper Drake is no stranger to good music as we’ve seen from his career over the years. He’s released hit after hit every year but what about his ability as a producer? His record label OVO has signed a two-man group by the name of DVSN which consists of vocalist Daniel Daley and producer nineteen85. The two bring something different to the music world. But where does the name DVSN come from?
“That’s kind of like our whole perspective being okay being separated from the pack,” explained Daniel Daley.
Hailing from Toronto, the two got connected with Drake who brought him onto his team. “Drake and the whole OVO camp kind of embraced us early on and helped shined a bigger light on what were doing,” said Daley.
Morning After is the album that DVSN is on tour for now and Daley gives a little insight into what some of the songs mean.
“POV is a point of view. It’s a record about you know wanting to change somebody’s perspective on their day and how they’re day is going,” expressed Daley. “Every record is about real life situations.”
