You can never have enough Black history facts and stories to share. The impact of these stories and the people who committed their lives to change and help the African-American community is important.
Corey Anthony Senior Vice President-Human Resources & Chief Diversity Officer for AT&T Services has created AT&T 28 Days: History by Us as a way to share stories of the work that African-Americans have done.
“One of the things that we do slightly different than most is a we go through Black history month every year is to not only get focus on the alliance of Black history which we’re not dismissing it,” explained Anthony. “We absolutely should and everyone should be aware of that but we thought we had an opportunity to say hey lets tell the story of some of the lesser known figures in Black history. And their stories might not be a s widely known as others, but they were very impactful and very important.”
