After the destruction brought by the horrible hurricane season, we’ve seen places like Houston, TX, Florida, Puerto Rico and various places in the Caribbean struggle to get back.

On top of that President Trump has not been doing the best job in helping with efforts, but the Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands Kenneth Mapp is hopeful of a good recovery.

“We are recovering slowly from two direct hits to two category 5 hurricanes, ” explained Mapp. He continued, “still got a lot of rebuilding to do. We are going to do what we got to do.”

Since the hurricanes, the Virgin Islands has been making slow progress in getting the island back up and running.

But the need that the country is facing are rebuilding homes. “We’re really working to get a permanent repair home program going. We are going to launch a program to get frames on these homes. We are trying to get folks covered,” explained Mapp.
