Gospel music artist Jonathan McReynolds says that he consulted Scripture to make a decision about whether or not he should perform at the Trump inauguration. In the end, after searching his spirit, he decided not to do so. McReynolds, Travis Greene,Tye Tribbett and Chrisette Michele was initially asked to perform “Intentional.” Michele agreed to perform but asked to do an R&B set. Tribbett declined and Greene agreed to perform.
“I didn’t see that God made it as an opportunity for me to minister,” McReynolds says. “But I do see why [Travis] believed that it was as an opportunity for him to minister. Travis is my big brother and I’m trusting his holy soul just as he’s trusting mine that he made the right decision for him.”
