Need a pick me up? No worries, this 9-year-old boy’s got you. 

Demarjay Smith, also called the “young Jamaican “trainer,” posted the best motivational speech ever. In a recorded video posted on Facebook, Smith, playing basketball with his brother, drops some serious knowledge about how to get ahead in life and what it takes to make your dreams come true. It’s all about strength. 

“Either you work hard for it, or you don’t work hard for it. Well, me and my brother, we work hard for our stuff. It don’t come easy. In life, you have to work. Either you want to be the shark of the ocean or the fish of the ocean…strength, no weakness! Power, muscle! You have to have that mindset so you can you can dominate…Don’t put yourself down, lift yourself up and be ready for any challenge!”


Smith is no stranger to the spotlight. Last year, he was featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show after his father posted a viral video of him leading his friends through a brief workout session, The Root noted. The pre-teen loves exercise and like First Lady Michelle Obama, he too wants for everyone to get out there and move.
