Laila Ali Talks Final Moments With Dad Muhammad Ali On ‘GMA’
During an appearance this morning on “Good Morning America,” Laila Ali discussed the final moments she and her siblings spent at the bedside of their father Muhammad Ali before his death on Friday.
Speaking to co-host Robin Roberts, Laila said all nine of his children flew to Arizona to be with him, and some of her sisters recited Islamic prayers at his bedside. Laila called it “a very peaceful time.”
Also, Laila said she has “comfort” in knowing her father is “not suffering anymore,” and was grateful that her 5-year-old daughter, Sydney, got to spend time with her grandfather in the years before he passed.
