R&B singer Joe recently sat down with us to discuss the culture of black music. The singer describes it as a “pot of gumbo”, that contains different elements. He cites Gospel music as his greatest influence growing up. Ultimately, he hopes to create music that will resonate with each generation. “I hope that I’m doing something that has long standing credibility,” said Joe. “I hope that the music that I create, and have created, is of that standard.”
