After being unexpectedly killed off of Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow” in the season finale earlier this month, Nicole Beharie is moving on to the big screen.

The actress will join Michael Ealy and “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams in a “re-imagining” of the 1990 thriller “Jacob’s Ladder” for director David M. Rosenthal. Will Packer is among the producers via his Will Packer Productions banner, and WPP’s James F. Lopez will be executive producer. Ealy will also executive produce.

The project is expected to begin shooting next month.

The original “Jacob’s Ladder” starred Tim Robbins as Jacob Singer, a Vietnam War veteran struggling to maintain his sanity amid hallucinations and flashbacks after returning home.

Beharie made her film debut in the film “American Violet” and also played Jackie Robinson’s wife opposite Chadwick Boseman in the biopic “42.”
