Tank is back with the follow-up to his 2007 album Sex, Love & Pain. Seven albums and  four Grammy nominations into his career and it’s easy to see just how the bonafide sex symbol has solidified his status as an R&B legend.  His new project, Sex, Love & Pain II, reminds us just why we first fell in love with him 14 years ago.

The smash hit You Don’t Know ft. Wale is the first single off the new album and Tank expertly shows off his falsetto over the Patti Labelle classic.

He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about just how “grown” the album is, his personal life and his working relationship with friend Jamie Foxx.

On the very mature lyrics and sexual tone of the album:

“I wanted to say it how we say it. I didn’t want to cut any corners. This is an adult album.”

His relationship goals:

“I have one relationship goal and that’s to be happy. I want to make her happy first and foremost and then my happiness comes second. When I make her happy, then my plate is full.”

His friendship with Jamie Foxx:

“We did a little candid one on one interview that we’re going to post. Foxx is notorious for saying, ‘Teezy you know what would make this song better, me?’ and then he shows me the check and I said you can have them.”

Sex, Love & Pain II is available everywhere on-line and in stores.
