Meagan Good is most recognized for her acclaimed performance in the eerie family drama Eve’s Bayou, for which she received an NAACP Image Award and a Hollywood Reporter Nomination.
Many in Hollywood have come to know her as the wife of Hollywood faith extraordinaire. producer DeVon Franklin.
She and her husband live their faith out loud:
“I have my parameters of what I feel in my spirit is appropriate,There have been times where it’s been tough because it’s something I really wanted, but the nudity would be exploitative and I’d lose the opportunity, but what I’ve found is that the more I stick to my convictions, the more God sticks to his promises. When I would lose something, something better would come up than what I turned down. And I’ve been able to pay my bills doing nothing else since I was 13.”
The couple has a new book coming out called The Wait.
It talks about finding true love through celibacy, as well as the benefits of delayed gratification in all walks of life (professional, personal, spiritual etc). They use their own personal story of waiting and looking to the Bible as an example.
