Police locked down the Community College of Philadelphia after receiving a report that a man pulled a gun on a student.

CNN.com reports:

A suspect in the case was later apprehended, Tanya Little of the Philadelphia Police Department said shortly before noon. No shots or injuries were reported.

Around 9:30 a.m., police were called to investigate a report that a man had pulled a gun on a student outside a campus building as the two argued, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey said.

The man with the gun then entered the building, which police eventually searched. After not finding the man, officers searched other campus buildings out of an abundance of caution, he said.

The student knows the man who had the weapon, Ramsey said.

“There was an argument over something — I do not know at this time what the argument was over,” he said.

The school, in a tweet posted shortly before 11 a.m. ET, said the college’s main campus was on lockdown because of “police activity.”

“Police activity on campus. Main campus is locked down at this point. Shelter in place in progress,” the tweet reads.
