Empire is back and fans can’t wait to see what’s going to happen on the first episode. Taraji P. Henson as Cookie Lyons and Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyons are back as the dysfunctional couple who created a music empire with their three sons, Andre (Trai Byers) Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Gray).
Those sons will fight over the Empire record label while their father does a stint in jail for the murder of Cookie’s cousin, Bunkie. This season, Empire, which airs on Fox on Wednesdays at 9 p.m., expands to 18 episodes and has a plate chock full of guest stars including Lenny Kravitz, Marisa Tomei, Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, The Wire’s Andre Royo and other bold-faced names, several of whom make their debuts in the very first episode.
