Footage of James Blake being aggressively thrown to the ground by a New York police officer has surfaced on the web.

The video was released by the NYPD and it shows Blake standing casually outside of the Grand Hyatt Hotel before an officer runs up to him and shoves him to the ground. He was patiently waiting for a ride to the US Open, and didn’t resist the overzealous officer at all.

Police commissioner Bill Bratton has since apologized for mistaking Blake for a suspect in a credit card fraud case. When Blake finally hit the US Open, he received a standing ovation. Check out the clips above.

  1. The ‘cave man’ description can’t be denied. I mean who does this man’s actions make sense to?
This clean-up man should have never been on the street in the first place, with two pending excessive force investigations in progress. Protect and serve huh-this man needs to be dismissed. Immediately!

  2. Glad Blake was not seriously injured. Humiliated and embarrassed yes, and the cop should have apologized, because chances are nothing else will happen in this case.

Blake is owed an apology – nothing more. The cop was provided bad info from a witness who mistakenly ID’ed Blake as a criminal. Stop making this into a big deal.

The dumb pasta n!@@er frascatore should have his badge taken. James Blake keep the fire lit. These neanderthal apes should have never been let out of the caves of Europe.
