Yet another up and coming rapper has lost his life to senseless gun violence.
Rising Louisiana rapper Young Ready of Baton Rouge, who’s real name is Shannen Hduson, was reportedly one of the victims in a shooting that claimed his life early Wednesday afternoon. Louisiana NBC affiliate KPLC News offered these details on the shooting:
Officials confirmed two people, including a Baton Rouge rapper, were killed in a shooting Tuesday afternoon.
One victim is Young Ready, whose real name is Shannen Hudson. He would have turned 32-years-old on July 8.
“Ready’s music was the voice of the streets of Louisiana and other areas,” said Kaleel Cain, social network promoter for Young Ready. “He will be truly missed.”
The shooting happened in Bogalusa just before 3:30 p.m. The Bogalusa Police Department is investigating. Investigators say they have not yet identified a suspect in this case.
Young Ready also owned and operated his own record label with a roster that included several other up and coming young artists. No additional information on the shooting is available at this time.
