Has Mariah Carey changed her mind about spending the holidays with her estranged husband Nick Cannon?
Originally the pair had planned to take their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, out for a family holiday so that they didn’t have to miss out on having both of their parents around for Christmas. They were probably going to hang stockings by the chimney with care at the Colorado locale they picked out!
The public applauded them for their decision to try to do the mature thing for their kids, but E! News reports that Mariah may now feel that four is a crowd after their last disastrous family holiday.
“It’s based on a few things,” a source close to the situation told E! News, revealing that the Carey-Cannons spent Turkey day together. From their account, it did not go well. “For starters, they spent Thanksgiving together and fought behind the scenes. How is it healthy for the kids if both parents are technically in the same place but fighting?”
There’s also a chance that Mariah’s ego may still be stinging from the way she’s been dragged following her unfortunate performance at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting. Supposedly, she blames him for her voice being on the fritz that day.
“She holds him partially responsible for the bad press her recent performances have gotten,” the source said. “She’s been so stressed over the split—with the fighting and crying—it’s definitely affected her state of mind, her head, her voice and her stage presence. It’s rattled her.”
Neither Nick nor Mariah have confirmed the rumors about their holiday plans, so fans may have to look to Instagram in the coming days to see if there was any truth to this chatter.
