Blake Griffin is keeping his mind on basketball even though he’s in trouble with the law for getting into a fight.
There are a lot of things that can knock a pro baller off of his game, and Blake feels pretty badly about creating one more for his team mates on the Los Angeles Clippers.
ESPN reports that Blake has been charged with misdemeanor battery following an incident at Tao nightclub in Las Vegas on October 19. He allegedly had a problem keeping his hands to himself. Court documents filed with the Clark County District Attorney’s office stated that Blake got angry after a camera flash went off in his face.
He then grabbed a man named Daniel Schuman, squeezing his hand and shoulder before slapping him in the face. Charges stemming from this incident haven’t fazed Blake.
“I definitely wouldn’t say scary. I feel more badly just for the fact that it’s a distraction,” he told reporters before practice last night. “I really don’t know how big of a distraction it really is, but it is. So that’s what I feel mostly bad about.”
Unfortunately, Blake really couldn’t get into the details of the case, but he doesn’t think he’ll face “I’m really not allowed to speak on that,” he explained “But I’m very confident in the situation, so once I can [speak on it], I will.”
THE NBA player is due back in a Las Vegas court on December 8 for arraignment. He’s facing up to six months in jail or $1,000 fine if convicted.
