The third season hasn’t even begun yet, but BET is thinking ahead with renewing Real Husbands of Hollywood for a fourth season.

Deadline.com reports the popular reality TV spoof series has been given the green light for a season four by the network. Real Husbands of Hollywood, which stars Kevin Hart, Duane Martin, Nick Cannon, Nelly, Boris Kodjoe and J.B. Smoove, is scheduled to return Tuesday (Oct. 7) with a season two reunion special.

The show’s third season will premiere on Oct. 14 and featured the appearance of Cannon’s now estranged wife, Mariah Carey.

As BET moves one season forward with “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” NBC gets things prepped for Thandie Newton’s small screen duties on it’s upcoming eight-episode miniseries “The Slap.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the entertainer has signed on for the drama, which will center on the fallout that happens after a man slaps a misbehaving child at a family barbecue. As a result, the incident sparks a dispute that exposes secrets, prompts a lawsuit and ultimately tears the family apart.

The publication notes that Newton has been cast as Aisha; wife, doctor, mother of two children and organizer of the party that becomes the catalyst to the family drama.

At this time, premiere date has not yet been set for The Slap, which is based on an Australian series and written by Jon Robin Baitz of The West Wing.
