Pebbles is super serious with her lawsuit over her portrayal in the TLC movie from earlier this year. She’s so serious that she named T-Boz and Chilli apart of the $40 million lawsuit.
When the lawsuit first came about, Pebbles claimed that:
As a conniving and dishonest business woman who hoodwinked three innocent girls and exploited their talent for her own personal gain.
Viacom stated in their own documents that they way Pebbles was portrayed in the movie was, indeed, accurate, and there was no harm made in her portrayal in the film, according to the Jasmine Brand. The company urged that the lawsuit be dismissed.
Pebbles (real name Perri Reid) didn’t think that was necessary and decided to have T-Boz and Chilli served with subpoenas on September 30. The papers “demand” that they hand over any discussions about Pebbles.
She also is demanding from them – any docs between them and the network regarding scenes or statements in the film that they claimed were inaccurate, the script outline for the film, all documents about scenes involving Pebbles specifically scenes where they portrayed her to be manipulating the group out of money, her alleged reaction to T-Boz’s health issues and anything related to the group’s record contracts.
