She may be the moderator on The View but Whoopi Goldberg says she knows nothing about just who she’ll be moderating next fall – other than Rosie O’Donnell.
“Here’s the truth. I don’t actually know what’s going on,” she told Savannah Guthrie on Monday’s Today show. “ABC are the only ones who know what’s happening.”
Guthrie asked if this lack of knowledge was intentional on Whoopi’s part.
“I don’t know because I work like you do for a conglomerate,” Whoopi said. “I might not be the first person on their list to talk stuff over with. I’m OK with that because I like being part of a crew.”
Whoopi has historically taken a laissez faire approach to the cast changes on The View. In 2013, she gave this memorable description of her stance: “Let me tell you this about ‘The View’: I take a paycheck every other week. That’s all I do. I could give a sh-t what comes. I do my job — I have a contract. That’s where I stand. I don’t give a f-ck.”
