After months of speculation, the guessing game is officially over because a Georgia judge just sentenced “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida to 8 years in jail! Nida received the 8 years in federal prison for cashing stolen checks and laundering more than $2.3 mil through phony bank accounts.
8 years seems like a very long time but considering he was facing up to 30 years 8 ain’t so bad! According to TMZ, Apollo Nida just got an enormous break for singing like a canary … he got 1/4 the maximum sentence for a massive money fraud scheme.
The judge who sentenced him today in a Georgia court said Nida did indeed cooperate with federal investigators by spilling criminal secrets … and that’s why he got leniency. DOH!
In other news, Apollo and Phaedra’s house was also just auctioned off for failure to pay taxes according to Radar Online.
Well, we guess we know what Phaedra Parks‘ new story line will be on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” now. She’ll be raising those two little boys by herself for 8 years…makes for good TV we guess.
