It looks like the saturation media blitz of “Think Like a Man Too” ahead of its release this weekend has paid off.

The Tim Story-directed sequel – starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Jerry Ferrara, Meagan Good, Regina Hall, Taraji P. Henson and Gabrielle Union – scored a strong $1.8 million in Thursday night grosses, putting it on course to rake in $30 million-plus over the weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

To put it in perspective, “Think Like a Man Too” did more in midnight business than Hart and Story’s “Ride Along,” which took in $1.06 million earlier this year on its way to a $48.6 million debut over the four-day Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.

“Think Like a Man Too” may have to fight Sony comedy “22 Jump Street” and family film “How to Train Your Dragon 2” for the No. 1 spot, but it will have no trouble racing past the weekend’s other new entry, Clint Eastwood’s “Jersey Boys,” THR reports.

The sequel sees the various couples travel to Las Vegas for a wedding. But plans for a romantic weekend quickly go awry.
