What Are The Best Granola Bars?

Snack time just got healthy. Don’t worry your pretty little brains beauties, you can copy off of my test. I studied very hard for “The Bar Exam” and am excited to share the best snack bars for all of your snack time needs. I had some great tutors and your going to love what these RAD brands have to offer.

1. Take The Edge Off Of Hunger With A “CLIF® Bar”

Skipping meals is not my thing, however on those mornings when I have to jet out the door, a CLIF® Bar certainly takes the edge off of my hunger. This energy bar is made with whole organic ingredients and the flavors are super delish. Hard to believe that Peanut Toffee Buzz® (which P.S. is my favorite) has 5g of fiber and 10g of protein. Don’t let the 250 calories per bar count you out – those calories are well worth it since all the ingredients are wholesome and identifiable. 23 vitamins and minerals never tasted so good.

2. Be Nice In Between Meals With A “KIND Bar”

It pays to be kind which is why I am excited to share my favorite in between meals snack bar with you – KIND Bars. In fact a recent study conducted by the Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center found that two KIND bars a day can curb appetite and even help prevent weight gain. I believe it. There are loads of flavors to choose from and all of them are gluten free, so mix and match your next batch for sure.

The KIND Fruit & Nut bars are a beautiful fusion of nuts, fruit and a touch of honey. I love the Peanut Butter & Strawberry simply because it tastes just like my favorite childhood lunch PB & J. The KIND Plus bars have an added bonus of all-natural nutrients like protein, fiber, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids so if you see the Almond Cashew With Flax + Omega 3 flavor grab several – they are so great! And then there’s my absolute favorites, the KIND Nuts & Spice bars. The Dark Chocolate Chili Almond KIND bar is something your taste buds will literally rejoice over. Sweet and spicy drizzled in chocolate?! Yes please! Oh and the by the way, they only have 5g of sugar or less…I mean come on, buy a case of KIND bars already – it’s the nice thing to do.

3. Double Up And Pair Things Up With “Medifast” Or “Kashi®”

If you are looking for a low calorie bar to couple with your afternoon apple or morning tea then I have two just for you sis. First up, Medifast. I was completely blown away with how gooey, chewy and scrumptious these bars were. I was thinking they would taste super diet-y, but nope, I was wrong. Clocking it at only 110 calories, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Chewy Bar is full on scrumptious. And it gets better – each bar has 11g of protein. Can you say “move over hunger.”

Oh and I’m just getting started. Another great low calorie bar can be found at your local grocery store thanks to my friends at Kashi®. There are so many bar options by this RAD and healthy brand so I wanted to shout out two that are a pantry must. If you are in the mood for chewy you absolutely have to get your lips around Kashi® Chewy Granola Bars Cherry Dark Chocolate. At only 120 calories this naturally tasty bar is a great source of whole grains (15g) and fiber (4g). Dark chocolate and cherries should always roll together if you ask me – so yummy! And, if you want a little crunch, then munch on the new Kashi® Crunchy Granola & Seed Bars, Honey Oat Flax. 2 bars per serving, 320mg ALA omega 3, 25g whole grains and 3g fiber – hello! Secret ingredients?  Quinoa, flaxseeds and honey. Easy as 1, 2, 3.

4. In The Mood For A Candy Bar? Quick, Have A “LUNA® Bar”

I’ve been eating LUNA® Bars for many moons now so join the team ladies. Nutritious meets delicious in these RAD bars created by and for women. I’m telling you, girl power never tasted so good. With 15 flavors to choose from you can now count on taking the cheat out of your afternoon treat. I love the Caramel Nut Brownie on the days when a Snickers tries to call my name, and when a sweet and salty craving kicks in I always go for the Peanut Honey Pretzel. Each 1.69 oz (48g) LUNA® Bar has around 180 calories with 9-10g protein and 3-5g fiber. It is high in calcium, folic acid and iron, a good source of Vitamin D, and rich in antioxidants (vitamins A, C and E). Can’t wait to hear what your favorite flavors will be FitGirl goddess!

5. Add More Crunch To Your Munch With “Cascadian Farm” Bars

Pick a bar, any bar! Cascadian Farm has all your organic snack time needs covered. With crunchy, chewy and most recently protein options the simple yet delicious flavors available were too good not to share. Peanut butter is my absolute favorite thing in the world so I loved how this rockstar brand incorporates this flavor into many of their bars. Not a fan of PB? No worries, there are several other flavors to chose from. The chewy bars are kid sized so throw a couple in your purse on your way out the door, and while you are at it don’t forget your pre workout bar – a protein chewy bar. The Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip  bar is large and in charge. Was super shocked to see how much yummy goodness I could have for 250 calories. Couple this with 9g of protein and 3g of fiber and you have the perfect pre or post workout treat.

6. Keep It Simple And Sweet With A “LÄRABAR®”

“If you can’t pronounce it, then don’t eat it,” is my number one clean eating rule. So when I skimmed over the nutrition facts of a LÄRABAR® it was snack bar love at first sight (and bite). So what is a LÄRABAR®? Why I’m glad you asked. It is a delicious blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices. Boom, that simple. Each flavor contains no more than nine ingredients yet the options are plentiful. For instance the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is everything nature intended it to be. Way better than batter (say that 10X fast), this sweet treat is made with cashews, dates, chocolate chips and sea salt. That’s it. The Apple Pie is to die for and the Pecan Pie is super delicious – not rebellious.

And if your looking for something with more texture (the LÄRABAR® is blended) go for a LÄRABAR über®. These babies are a unique sweet and salty snack made from whole fruits and nuts too. Chunky and lovely. The Bananas Foster literally had me double checking the ingredient list every bite for butter. Nope just pure simple goodness!
