It seems that the reunion of legendary Queens, NY based hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest was short-lived, as the group will officially be calling it quits after their final two US performances.
Earlier this week, group leader Q-Tip tweeted that Tribe would be opening for Kanye West, currently touring his latest album ‘Yeezus’, during two of his four New York City shows.
“In August, ATCQ did our last show FOR Cali…It’s only right we do our final two joints where we started…NYC” the Brooklyn-born emcee tweeted.
The pioneering alternative hip-hop group will be opening for West twice in New York, once at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 20th and once at Madison Square Garden on November 24th.
