The DMV – that’s DC, Maryland and Virginia to you – is awash with the sounds of jazz this weekend as two major festivals are going on. The DC Jazz Fest boasts a performance by The Roots while the Capital Jazz Fest celebrates the 25 year anniversary of jazz crooner Will Downing. Soul music has it’s way Β as well as Babyface, Mary J. Blige, Anthony Hamilton and Tamia all hit the road this weekend. If sports is your thing, Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the defending champs, The Miami Heat, is played Saturday night and Serena Williams gears up for what could be a historic French Open title live from Paris on Saturday morning.
