DeVon Franklin, the husband of Meagan Good, Sony Pictures Executive, Preacher, author, and now we know a man of great discipline.
Franklin in a recent interview reveals that he practiced celibacy for ten years before it was broken after he and Good tied the knot.
He said in the interview with Global Grind, “She was celibate before we got together and I was celibate. You’re not going to believe me…[I've been celibate] over ten years.”
As a preacher he said, “I would go and preach one thing but I was going and living another and I could not do it. I could not look at myself in the mirror. I was like, ‘No, I cannot live like this.” Which lead to his lifestyle change.
The couple met on the set of “Jumping the Broom” where Franklin was one of the producers of the film.

If only more men and women would practice this, there would probably be a decrease in disease, deceit and other problems in this area of LOVE. This man possess great strength and power that only God can give.
So let me get this, if you aren’t celibate for years before you marry then some how you don’t have “Black Love” or are worthy of God’s Blessings or titles like “Beautiful Couple”? So God forbid this union ends like all the other Hollywood marriages then do they still get to be revered as such?
Well to my brother & sister in law that met as teenagers and f’d like rabbits, I think you have great “Black Love” too and I know God has blessed you because 35 years later you too are still my relationship role model.
Like rihanna says where have you been all my life? It’s a beautiful thing. That’s the true meaning of anything worth having is worth waiting for. Sad that we have so many evil,and hateful people that just defile everything in a marriage.
I know that Devon was labeled ‘gay’, becaused he turned down women, a man has the right to say ‘No’, if he wants to.

Good to know there are people out there that believe in celibacy and discuss it. This can be done. We don’t have to jump in bed with every person we meet. God bless this beautiful couple.
