JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — A prayer vigil has been held in New Jersey for Ardie Fuqua, the comedian who was injured in the same highway crash that injured Tracy Morgan.

The vigil was held Monday night in Jersey City, Fuqua’s hometown.

Fuqua’s mother, Doris, says he is in good spirits, and getting three hours of physical therapy each day. He is being treated for brain trauma.

His friends and family prayed for a speedy recovery.

They also prayed for the truck driver who is being blamed for the deadly crash. Kevin Roper has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto.

Morgan is also in a rehabilitation center. The June 7 wreck on the New Jersey Turnpike killed comedian James McNair, who went by the name Jimmy Mack.
