Tye Tribbett is just one man, but at the Tom Joyner Family Reunion, he’s going to sound like an army, along with his talented band. The Camden, N.J. -raised gospel singer is leading the“Gospel Explosion” at the annual event in Orlando, Florida held this year from August 30 – September 4 at the Gaylord Resort.
Tribbett, who has released four recordings since 2004, will be recording his fifth CD/DVD project called “Greater Than” next month in two different locations. Tribbett says this project was inspired directly by Scripture. "It's important that we, the body of Christ, point to something and someone greater than ourselves," says Tribbert. "This CD is about getting the focus back to God and acknowledging that He is greater than anything or anyone. The Bible says, 'Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.' When I read that verse recently, the "er" in greater jumped out at me. It implies that he that is in the world is great. If we're honest, the pull of the world is great. But truth is, GOD is GREATER!!"
