President Joe Biden will address the nation on Monday about the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan, after the planned withdrawal of American forces turned deadly at Kabul’s airport as thousands tried to flee the country after the Taliban’s takeover.

After the attack earlier this month in San Bernardino, California, more Americans are worried that terrorists are winning the war against the U.S. than they have been at any point since September 11, according to CNN.

Despite pledging to bring home almost all American troops before leaving office, President Barack Obama plans to leave nearly 10,000 troops in war-torn Afghanistan through 2016 in an effort to help fend off the Taliban, reports the Washington Post.
