Student Loan Forgiveness

U.S. President Joe Biden may have come up with a plan to alleviate the financial burden of student debt for many Americans by $10,000.

The Biden-Harris Administration recently announced that changes are being made to student loan programs that will result in 40,000 borrowers having their student debt immediately wiped.  

Students at Virginia-based HBCU Hampton University got a pleasant surprise this week after learning that all balances from the Spring 2022 semester will be wiped, in addition to a halt in tuition, fees, room and board for the fall semester as well.

The Biden administration announced Thursday it will automatically erase student loan debt for more than 300,000 Americans with severe disabilities that leave them unable to earn significant incomes.
