A Black woman paying $2,600 per month for an apartment in Charlotte is facing eviction due to complaints about her daughter twerking in the pool. 

The latest example in a complicated history of racism in schools occurred not too long ago in Chatham County after a mother says her son was "sold" in a mock slave auction at his K-8 school in North Carolina.

North Carolina’s Fayetteville Police released the 911 call made by a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy after he fatally shot 37-year-old Black man, Jason Walker, while off duty.
