Non-Binary

Singer/actress Janelle Monáe came out a few years ago as non-binary, and she decided to explain what that term means for her specifically during a recent sit-down with Jada, Willow and Gammy on 'Red Table Talk.'

Merriam-Webster added more than 500 words to its dictionary Tuesday, including the non-binary pronoun “they.” “They” can be used to refer to a single person whose gender identity is non-binary.
