If you are looking at this new XXL Freshman cover and saying, “Who the hell are these people?” we got you! This years list is actually one of the most potent lists XXL has given us since the golden ages (aka. 2016 Freshman List). Last year XXL listed Nardo Wick, SoFaygo, Babyface Ray & more to appear on the cover. For those that have followed some of the artists on the 2022 list, we know only some of rose to the occasion. Artists like, Babytron, Babyface Ray, Saucy Santana, hit the ground running! Travis Scott’s signee, SoFaygo has to be the biggest disappointment from last years list, as we have not seen any follow up after the success of his viral Tik Tok song, ‘Knock Knock’.
