This year also saw groundbreaking individual achievements. “Shōgun” star Anna Sawai made history as the first Asian actress to win the Lead Actress in a Drama Series category. Sawai’s performance captivated audiences and critics alike, marking a significant moment for Asian representation in Hollywood’s most prestigious awards ceremony.
In another historic win, “The Bear’s” Liza Colón-Zayas became the first Latina actress to take home the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
