The city of Atlanta became a winter wonderland on Friday (Jan. 10) as a rare winter storm hit, causing flight delays, icy road conditions…and pretty funny commentary on social media.

Meteorologist Brian Monahan says that the snow will continue in the mountains and occasionally mix with sleet through late Friday. Meanwhile, the metro area will mostly see a mix of sleet, freezing rain, and ice with the snow.
The snowfall totals throughout the area, according to WSB-TV:

- Jasper 1.0″
- Dunwoody 1.5″
- Cleveland 2.0″
- North Druid Hills 2.0″
- Marietta 2.3″
- East Cobb 2.5″
- Roswell 2.5″
- Midtown Atlanta 3.0″
- Downtown Atlanta 3.5″
- Norcross 3.5″
