To Jevon Dewand & The Trap Starz, “trap” doesn’t refer to being stuck. Instead, it stands for “talent revolving around purpose.”

The group consists of musicians Jevon Dewand, Jazze Pha and Gasner The Artist. They have been nominated for two 2024 Stellar Gospel Music Awards: New Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year in the rap and hip-hop gospel category for “Without You (There Would Be No Me).”  Now “Without You” is sitting at the top of the Billboard Airplay charts this week.
