Angela solicits the help of Proctor (Joe Ferrara) to arrange a surprise meeting with Tommy. Her DEA boo thing, Steve Tampio, may have been able to pull rank to release the Jimenez and walk away from the case, but she’s not willing to let go without a fight.

Now being privy to the details of Mak and Saxe’s secret investigation of Tommy and Ghost, she uses that information to get Tommy to agree to work with her to gather details on the Jimenez. She also agrees to help Proctor get reinstated as a lawyer. Let’s just hope she can make good on these promises.

Ghost is still unravelling. The stunt that Tate (Larenz Tate) pulls getting Dre (Rotimi Akinosho) to be the new face of the Queens Child Project has Ghost on edge and losing his leverage. He calls in Simon Stern (Victor Garber) one of the folks backing the QCP hoping to help convince Tate to drop Dre. When that doesn’t go well, Ghost comes up with a plan to have Dre removed from his position as the boss of the club.

Some legal jargon found in Ghost’s contract with his club Truth lists a non-compete clause that Dre just can’t get around. Dre not only loses his position at the club, he loses his means for trafficking drugs.

It’s a smart move, but it doesn’t stop Tate. He’s just going to get Dre a new gig with one of his cronies. At an event held at Truth, Ghost finally loses his cool. When he sees Dre in the club, he approaches Tate and since he’s been drinking heavily, he’s not thinking right. Ghost ends up choking Tate out in front of everyone. Tate doesn’t mind. When Ghost finally lets up off of him and realizes what he’s done, Tate says:  “You know you done f’d up right”?

One can only imagine the trouble that’s right around the corner for Ghost and this project. He heads home, still drunk, only to encounter Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) who has a few choice words for his father after the birthday celebration gone wrong for the twins. (Did anyone else miss the fact that Raina and Tariq are twins?)

Tasha (Naturi Naughton) screws up the cake order. With Raina gone, she only needs to order one cake, and she mistakenly orders the one she would normally give Raina. It’s a mess and to make matters worse, the police with everyone’s favorite internal affairs officer in tow show up looking for Tasha’s gun. They need it to follow up a lead but it seems they are trying to intimidate the St. Patrick’s. Fortunately, it checks out that the gun was reported stolen.

Ghost tries to fight his son, when he gets disrespectful, but is too drunk to land any blows. Tariq heads back to Choate and guess who gives him a ride. His old buddy, Kanan.

Meantime, Ghost is at the lowest we’ve seen him this season. He heads to the church, where the pastor who presided at Raina’s funeral forces him to face up to his own responsibility in all the bad choices he’s made. Ghost says he wants to be a good man. So he heads over to….you guessed it… Angela’s apartment. Do you think he gets it yet?
