‘Braxton Family Values’ Recap: Season 6, Episode 7: ‘It’s Always Gonna’ Be A Difficult Situation’
Toni is shining so bright with her new glow of love since her engagement to Brian “Birdman” Williams but, she still can’t seem to find the right time to tell all of her sisters at the same damn time. Usually it’s Tamar who’s missing from the bunch which is the case the first time she has her heart set on finally letting the cat out of the bag and explaining that big rock she has on her finger. But, unfortunately there’s no Tamar. The second time, during a family tea time, she’s finally able to get all of the Braxton sisters together, and her mother, and it happens…..
“B and I…we’ve been talking, thinking about life…we’ve decided – to get married!”
It’s about time Toni!
If tea time wasn’t the right time for Toni to spill the tea, Ms. E is on ready, set, go… to tell her daughters if Toni keeps playing and doesn’t give up the ghost.
You know it can never be smooth sailing with the Braxton sisters. Now that Toni has shared the good news, the issue now becomes – which sister will be planning the wedding. Of course Tamar is the first to put her hands in the pot.
She comes up with the idea to have their father walk Toni down the aisle, half way, and have her sons, Denim and Diesel, walk her down the rest of the way. She says her party planning is always “poppin and classy.” But, Towanda also wants to have her hand in the mix and the girls seem to think Towanda is way more organized than Tamar. Why can’t they both do it? Tamar doesn’t want to share.
To make matters worse, Toni is already passing the buck on to her sister Towanda to set her wedding date. (Where they do that at?)
Towanda receives a real gangsta-bully phone call from Birdman letting her know he’s not playing around with this wedding date. He doesn’t have time for that. He needs to know the date so he can get that date tattooed on an already non-tattooed part of his forehead. He’s ready.
Though Toni is not feeling the idea of a tattoo on B’s forehead, she’s seems to be just as excited and ready for the wedding. She’s deciding on whether or not she should wear white, or something in the white family. She’s even picking out the right flowers. She’s putting things in motion for this wedding but, doesn’t seem to have the same enthusiasm or availability for Traci and her duchess baby shower.
Since Diesel has just landed a principle role in a film, Toni will be on set with him and won’t be around to participate in all the family fun. She may be dodging a bullet with that one.
This baby shower seems like a Braxton catastrophe in the making and it has everything to do with those invited and their plus one.
We all remember how it went down in Mexico for the family vacation once the girls’ dad, Michael Braxton, Sr., shows up with his new wife, Ms. Wanda. All hell damn near breaks loose once Ms. Evelyn finds out she’s there. Now, since Kevin and Olivia’s baby shower is right around the corner, and they both have a great relationship with their grandfather, of course they want him there. Everyone knows how much of a disaster that will be so Traci is now faced with the dilemma of inviting daddy but, disinviting Ms. Wanda. That won’t go over too well. We’ll have to wait for it.
Meanwhile, Traci is trying to get in shape so she can be ready for this upcoming tour with big sis, Toni. She takes Trina and Towanda with her to a private jump rope session with a trainer where they just stand there and watch as Traci jumps. (SMH)
Towanda’s new boo is still a mystery but, according to her, he is doing his job and “cockling, doodling, and doing the do” – whatever that means.
This is her response when Tamar asks at lunch what’s the real deal between she and this new secret man. The real question is, Tamar what is the real deal with you and Vince? Of course the question is asked but she’s still not answering. She’s even claiming that they’re not even having sex and her number one priority is their son Logan.
Okay Tamar.
We’re still waiting for Towanda to drop this bomb on Tamar about this lawsuit. Come on wit’ it ladies.
