Tamar is back! She finally shows up for her mother’s, Ms. Evelyn’s, surprise birthday celebration and Ms. E couldn’t be happier. The entire family is there to celebrate, all in one room, peacefully, for her day. But, just a couple steps away from everyone else is a family member who’s just hanging around and lingering outside in the hallway who wasn’t invited.
If you’re thinking it must be Vincent Herbert, then you’re right!
VINCE IS THERE TOO! What is really going on? It seems Tamar asks Vince to join her at her mother’s party just in case she needs a little assistance with their son Logan. And she does. While Logan becomes a little too busy at the party, just as kids typically do, Tamar suggests that he goes to his father, and BOOM, there’s Vince. The cameraman catches a quick glimpse of him seated in the hallway – away from everybody else.
Not only is Vince seen chilling in the cut at Ms. E’s birthday party but, when the sisters and mommy go out to lunch a week later at Uncle Julio’s, Vince is there too!
Once again, he’s seen sitting over to the side, in a different location of the restaurant, with Logan. The sad part is, it seems like little Logan is the only one willing to address anyone even though they’re all in the same building, under the same roof. Logan is able to walk by, while holding his dad’s hand, see his mom and aunts and wave hello to everyone at the table. His dad on the other hand, along with his aunts, mother and even grandmother, say nothing to one another.
PETTY!
RP
And that’s not the worst of it. Not only are they not speaking to Vince but, they’re not even comfortable speaking about Vince, and this whole divorce thing that’s posted all over the internet, with stories that he may have even gotten some random woman pregnant.
There’s simply way too much chitter chatter going on about Tamar and Vince’s failing marriage, Towanda, Traci and Trina’s plans to sue Vince over the theme song AND Toni’s engagement, for everyone to be this tight-lipped. At least Toni tries to open up the doors of communication by making just a mild mention of Vince’s name and the divorce but, Tamar quickly shuts her down with her “Don’t Ask Me,” response.
Meanwhile, Toni’s getting ready to wrap up filming Faith Under Fire, the story of Antoinette Tuff, in Pittsburgh, PA, and she wants her sisters to come. But, she decides that’s not where she plans on breaking the news about her engagement to Birdman. She wants them there with her for support, and to kind of take their minds off of things too. She doesn’t plan on telling them until they return to L.A., so we have to wait another week to see how this goes down.
Moving on to Trina and Towanda’s “double date” that turns out to be one hilarious catastrophe. Towanda is just too funny.
We’ve been waiting since last week to find out what was to come with this double date situation. We want to meet these mystery men that both Trina and Towanda have been secretly dating. So they set a date and pick a place for their new boos to meet each other before the rest of the family gets the chance to sink their teeth into them, but Towanda shows up to the venue with someone Trina already knows very well – her sister Traci.
How shady is that?
Trina’s new boo, Von, is completely bamboozled and bombarded with questions by both Towanda and Traci. They ask him everything you can think of – ‘have you ever been married’, ‘do you play sports’, and ‘do you have good credit’? Traci even makes a comment about his hair and how healthy it looks (which I guess means kudos to you for still having hair.)
Though he’s completely caught off guard, Von remains cool, calm and collected through the entire dinner. As for Towanda’s new boo, we still have yet to meet him but, she did drop a few hints in this episode about this mystery man so we can’t wait until he’s unveiled.
Now we know his name begins with an “S” and he may be in the music business because his reason for not making it to the dinner is because he’s working in the studio. Hmmm???
Speaking of dropping hints, Traci finally gets her sisters and mother together for her big gender reveal day. Now that she knows the sex of her soon-to-be grandchild, she’s been thinking of different ways to reveal it to her family. She’s also been thinking of whether or not she should invite Tamar to anything she has planned, after being rudely dismissed off her set the last time she tried to visit her. But, she seeks counsel from a very wise woman – her mother, Ms. E, who tells her that “this too shall pass,” and to not let it further affect the family.
She listens to her mother and includes Tamar in on her big reveal day plans that she executes in true Traci fashion. She invites the girls to the tallest building in L.A., the U.S. Bank Tower, to symbolize how she feels like she’s sitting on top of the world with becoming a duchess. Then they slide down the Sky Slide, which is 70 stories up in the building before heading back downstairs, and outside for the big reveal.
Now Tamar is there, and she’s waiting for the girls to come back downstairs because she doesn’t do heights. With everyone there, minus Toni who couldn’t be due to a minor medical situation, Traci hops on a motorcycle parked out front and revs up the engine.
Blue smoke emerges from the tailpipe and…. IT’S A BOY!
What We Hope To Find Out With Next Week’s Episode:
- Who is Towanda dating?
- Toni, are you ever going to ever tell your sisters about your engagement?
- There’s just way too many elephants in the room that need to be addressed. Can we lawsuit, divorce, cheating, abuse, side chicks pregnant?
Stay tuned for episode 7, Thursday May, 4 at 8p on WEtv.
