On the heels of Tristan Thompson‘s sex scandal, his girlfriend Khole Kardashian gave birth to their daughter. Now there are rumors that a complicated custody battle can ensue. However, if the two aren’t married, many wonder how it will play out in court.

Jacque Reid goes Inside Her Story with Demetria Graves and Merissa Grayson, founding partners of the Elite firm. A law firm that deals with family cases worked on by African-American women.

“Technically no it does not matter,” explained Graves about Thompson and Kardashian not being married. “The court cares about what is in the best interest of the child…Kids deserve to live the lifestyle of both parents.”

Child support is usually one of the hardest parts when it comes to these cases. It’s no different for the rich and famous.

“I think that it’s really going to depend on their incomes,” explained Grayson. “For them, they both have higher incomes.”
