Tom is right, he may be the hardest working man in radio but Taraji P. Henson is the hardest working woman in Hollywood! She’s done nothing but back to back shootings of movies and t.v. shows all killing the game. And now she’s back in a new film called Acrimony filmed and directed by Tyler Perry.
“Acrimony is a piece of work. First of all we shot the movie in 8 days,” explained Henson. Perry is not afraid of a little challenge. “I think he keeps out doing himself. I’m not even sure if I can keep up. He shot a whole series in a day.”
When Tom said Henson is a hard-working woman he wasn’t kidding because she filmed Acrimony & Empire at the same time.
“I was so nervous because I didn’t have time to research,” explained Henson. “I was so scared I was like ‘Tyler if this doesn’t work I’m blaming it on you.'”
Henson admits that at first she didn’t know what the word acrimony meant. Meaning bitter, the word accurately describes her character Melinda.
“It’s about a woman who’s scorned,” expressed Henson.”She’s enraged, Oh God it’s so crazy.”
Check out Acrimony in theaters Friday, March 30.
