Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg co-hosted God’s Love We Deliver’s second annual Love Rocks NYC! benefit at New York’s Beacon Theatre on March 15.

Keith Richards, Mavis Staples, Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen, Lucinda Williams and Norah Jones were among the performers that appeared onstage for the star-studded second event.

This year’s benefit concert was hosted by Goldberg, Bill Murray and the Bacon Brothers and presented by fashion designer John Varvatos and Greg Williamson. The event concluded with all of the participating artists joining Ziggy Marley onstage to perform Bob Marley’s “One Love.”

Love Rocks NYC! raises money for God’s Love We Deliver, a non-profit organization that provides meals and nutrition counseling for people with severe illnesses.

Goldberg is a vocal marijuana advocate so she even gave guests a few tips on how to budget in order to donate more to the cause.

“Buy a joint instead of the bag. Make cocktails at home,” she quipped.

Meanwhile, Bravo housewife Luann de Lesseps reportedly “ducked out early with a young pal, and she “appeared to have knocked back a few, but her rep insisted she’s not drinking.”

“She was on medication for a bug she got in Colombia. It’s pretty strong medication. She was feeling nauseous. She’s really serious about sobriety and is completely focused on her wellness. She’s doing yoga every day,” he said.

The former countess recently completed a stint in rehab after being arrested for disorderly intoxication.

She also recently went on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” and clutched a glass of white wine on the show. But a rep said, “It all was for showbiz,” and she just held the glass and did not indulge.
